MOUNTAIN DOGWOOD
There are two kinds of dogwood that grow here, Pacific dogwood, which has 5 petals and mountain dogwood, which has 4. I was specifically asked by one of the spirit guides of a close friend to collect mountain dogwood, among several other essences. I was not told why these essences were important before the deva herself gave the information.
I found some beautiful mountain dogwood trees on the way to the same wilderness river that yielded the Indian rhubarb. The interesting thing about this flower is that it is really a cluster of tiny flower heads each with 4 petals and 4 sepals surrounded by 4 large pearly white bracts that form a cross with equal arms.
The deva said: "I am the geometry of balance of will, heart, mind and soul...the facilitator of self mastery. For those struggling with imbalance or the effects of karma on some plane or another I offer the energy grid to allow ...alignment at the golden core of being. For those struggling with addiction, I offer surcease from the entities that bite and scratch from within. While release from addiction requires the individual to change the grooves formed in his energy bodies, I can make the process less onerous". My ultimate gift is freedom in the Spirit.
For animals, I offer peace from whatever fear or anxiety that is throwing their harmonious dance with Life into disarray. For those with abandonment anxiety, I boost confidence and an inner sense of security and connection with All of Life. For those who have been abused I gently offer the willingness to trust".
