MARIPOSA TULIP (ALSO CALLED LILY)
In the heat of the high plains desert summer , I happened to be walking in an isolated place. At the base of a juniper tree, a flower I had been seeking for 3 years danced in the breeze. Its amethyst petals curled back from a throat of gold. I stared at it in disbelief. "May I have it?" I asked breathlessly.
The Deva speaks: "I welcome you to partake of my essence. I grow in waterless places and am a guardian of Lovingness. I am for those who feel separated and cut off from their own kind , who cannot honor their own essential core of worthiness. I am for those who cannot access the deep well of Love that is their connection to ALL THAT IS--for Love is the matrix of the Universe. There is no place where it is not without a return to the chaos. If you and your Life have form, you are Loved. You contain it. You are kept in existence by it.
My three petals represent the Love, Wisdom and Power which are the the essential gifts of all evolving beings. The petals frame my golden heart.
You found me in a solitary flower. I do not need the external company of my kind in order to rest in our Oneness. I rest in my Aloneness (All Oneness) knowing I am enough. I am especially useful for the alienated, the lonely and those whose spiritual path demands a solitary walk.
I work well with other Devic energies. Those you call Sego lily, manzanita, yucca, bilobed clarkia, whitestemmed evening primrose, goldenrod, mullein, and California poppy all have properties which enhance mine and which are potentiated by mine. "
Not only did the Deva allow me that flower, but led me to 3 more, so that the flowers filled the bowl. Their Life Force was so strong that they remained alive and radiating loving care in my home for 8 days after the essence was obtained. I felt like I was hostess to a gracious guest, and felt a hole in my heart when it was time to return the flowers to the earth-- the same one I would feel if a loved human had come for a visit and then took her leave.
